Braimah3 1Lecturer, School of Applied Science and Arts, Department of Ecological Agriculture, Bolgatanga Polytechnic, Ghana. The primary purpose of these case studies was to develop and present consistent cost, resource use (especially energy), and environmental regulatory information on each operating IMSWM system. In the six case studies, integrated municipal solid waste management is defined as the practice of using two or more alternative waste management techniques.

Chiang Rai is the northernmost province of Thailand. Municipal solid wastes (MSWs) was generated , ton/y in this area; however, only 24 percent of waste was properly disposed, and 43 percent of waste was properly managed. The purpose of this paper is to explore knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) of highland residents in order to provide a basis for the development of waste. A survey and a preliminary comparison were conducted between the waste management systems and schemes implemented in the Region of Umbria (Italy) and the West Bank (Palestine). The waste management hierarchy has been adopted by most industrialized countries as the menu for developing waste management strategies. According to Seadon (), many programmes have adopted waste management hierarchy to address solid waste, for example, New Zealand’s Local Government Act Amendment No.

The purpose of this case study was to conduct a case study in the generation rate, composition, and characterise solid wastes from low, middle and high income households during weekdays and weekends in Palapye, Botswana. The study was conducted through sampling and analysis of the wastes from sampled households from each of the three categories.
